Spring is officially here in Cleveland! It’s April 3, and it’s 75 degrees outside today.
I saw my first daffodil pop up in the backyard, so that’s always a great sign. The bright, sunny yellow color always makes me smile.
I took some old bread out for the birds, and sure enough they flocked to it, as did other animals. When I look out the window, it feels like a Disney movie with all the animals out there. I just love it!
Spring is my favorite time of year–partly because it’s when my birthday is, but mostly because it’s a time of renewal and rebirth. The cycle is starting over, and you can, too.
I took Dawn’s yoga class at Inner Bliss on Friday, and I was reminded of why I love her classes so much: She always says something that really makes you think. This class, she talked about the flowers who are all trying to burst through the dirt and shine out with the sunshine. We practiced yoga as if we were all flowers trying to shine out–don’t you just love that imagery? Also, she said that change isn’t easy, and that you have to focus all your energy (like the flowers do) to get to the sunshine. This really inspired me to start some projects that I have been meaning to get to.
Tonight, Michigan State plays Butler in the Final Four basketball game, and Dan and I are going to cheer them on. Ahhh, I love Saturdays…
